Treeverse has officially entered alpha testing, giving NFT holders exclusive access to the game before the public release. This long-awaited launch brings players closer to experiencing the open-world MMORPG by Endless Clouds. If you own Treeverse Plots, Timeless characters, or NFTrees, you can jump in now and explore the world of Lorwick.
Treeverse Alpha: Who Can Play and How to Join?
For now, only Treeverse NFT holders can access the game. The team has made it clear that this whitelist-only alpha is a critical phase before a wider public launch. Holders of the following three NFT collections will qualify:
- Treeverse Plots – Land ownership within the game.
- Timeless Characters – Unique, playable NFT avatars.
- NFTrees – Digital trees that play a role in the game's economy.
If you own any of these, you can sign up for early access by filling out this form.
Platforms and Availability
The mobile-first game is rolling out on Android and iOS first:
- Android users can download the game directly from the Google Play Store.
- iOS players must fill out the alpha access form due to Testflight's user limit. If selected, you'll get an email invitation.
For PC gamers, a Windows version is in the works, but the devs are focusing on mobile distribution for now.
Whitelist Setup – MetaMask and Immutable Passport
Even if you install the game, you won't be able to log in unless you whitelist your wallet on Immutable Passport (Sandbox). Here's how to do it:
- Go to Immutable Sandbox: Link
- Sign in / Sign up via the top-right button.
- Navigate to External Wallets and connect your MetaMask wallet containing Treeverse assets.
Failing to complete this step will prevent access—even if you hold an eligible NFT! So make sure to whitelist your wallet first.
What About Rewards?
Notably, this alpha won't offer any rewards, as those will come during the official public alpha stage, where a reward campaign will be introduced.
What Is Treeverse?
Treeverse is a top-down, open-world MMORPG that focuses on social interaction and cooperative gameplay. Inspired by classics like Runescape, it combines exploration, combat, and crafting in a blockchain-powered world.
Set in Arboros, players explore the city of Lorwick, battle monsters, gather resources, and craft unique items. What makes it unique? A classless system that lets players define their own playstyles through a knowledge tree. You can be an adventurer, a craftsman, or something in between. Some of its core features include:
- Quests & Exploration: Discover stories through NPC-driven quests or roam freely to uncover hidden mysteries.
- Customizable Land: Treeverse Plot owners can build and customize their spaces, either for personal enjoyment or to share with friends.
- Crafting & Trading: Collect resources, forge weapons, and trade items in a player-driven economy.
- Co-op & Community: Join friends to tackle bosses and form alliances with other players.
NFT Integration – More Than Just Collectibles
Treeverse isn't just another MMORPG with NFTs—it actually integrates them into gameplay. Here's how:
NFTrees – The In-Game Economy
- Players who own NFTrees can plant them within the game world.
- Fruits from these trees can be sold in the in-game economy.
- Owners can set prices for their harvests, building passive income opportunities.
Treeverse Plots – Your Own Space
- These land plots allow players to build and customize their own home.
- They act as player hubs, ideal for socializing or showcasing in-game achievements.
Timeless Characters – Unique Avatars
- Players can equip their Timeless NFTs as their in-game characters.
- These distinct designs set them apart from standard avatars.
Treeverse's Development Journey
Treeverse was born in 2021, founded by Loopify, a prominent NFT collector and creator. First conceived as an NFT project featuring NFTrees, it quickly evolved into a full-fledged MMORPG with blockchain elements.
The game is built by Endless Clouds, a studio with over 50 developers who previously worked on League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, and Horizon Zero Dawn. Their goal? To blend traditional MMORPG mechanics with web3 concepts.
What's Next?
According to the team, players can look forward to the Windows build, which is set to roll out after the mobile alpha phase. The public alpha will go live after the holder-exclusive alpha, featuring a reward campaign for early testers. While NFT integration is quite limited for now, the full utility for Treeverse Plots, Timeless Characters, and NFTrees will be introduced in later stages.
With the Alpha now live for holders, it won't be long before the rest of the gaming space gets a taste of what Treeverse has to offer. If you're a holder, this is your chance to explore Lorwick before the masses. For everyone else? Stay tuned for the Public Alpha announcement.
