The blockchain-based trading card game Gods Unchained is shaking things up with its first-ever Battle Pass. Set to launch on February 18, Battle Pass Season 1 will introduce a fresh way for players to earn exclusive in-game rewards. But if you want to get a head start, a pre-sale with 25% off starts on February 10 at 2:00 PM AEDT.
This marks the first time the game has added a Battle Pass system. Previous updates have focused on new competitive game modes, such as Formats Season 2, which introduced rotational game modes with unique challenges. But now, the Battle Pass brings a more structured progression system, rewarding players simply for playing.
So, what exactly does Battle Pass Season 1 offer? And how can you make the most of it? Let's dive in.
About Gods Unchained Battle Pass Season 1
The upcoming Battle Pass is designed to reward players for their time and effort. It features 40 levels of rewards across three different tiers:
- Free Tier ($0) – Available to all players at no cost.
- Premium Tier ($6.99 USD) – Unlocks extra rewards.
- Shiny Tier ($39.99 USD) – Grants access to all rewards, including the most exclusive items.
By playing matches and completing quests, players earn XP to level up their Battle Pass. The higher the level, the better the rewards.

The Battle Pass is packed with a mix of cosmetics, card packs, and in-game currency ($GODS tokens), making it an enticing offer for both casual and OG players.

Buying the Battle Pass is quite straightforward but requires a MetaMask wallet linked to your account.

How to Level Up & Earn Rewards
Progressing through the Battle Pass is all about earning XP. Here's how you can do it:
1. Play Matches
- Winning a match earns you 50 XP.
- Losing a match does not grant XP (to prevent bot farming).
2. Complete Quests for Bonus XP
- You can complete up to five quests every 24 hours.
- Each quest provides bonus XP, helping you speed through the Battle Pass.
- Expect to earn around 200 XP daily from quests.
3. XP Multipliers Based on Deck Quality
If you want to level up faster, using higher-quality decks gives an XP boost:
- Plain deck: 1.0x XP
- Meteorite deck: 1.25x XP
- Shadow deck: 1.5x XP
- Gold deck: 1.75x XP
- Diamond deck: 2.0x XP
How Long Will It Take to Finish the Battle Pass?
According to the team, a Plain deck player will complete all rewards in 24 days, while a Diamond deck player can finish in just 14 days. Extreme grinders could complete the pass in half a day if they play nonstop.
Want a shortcut? The Shiny track offers the highest value rewards and ensures you don't miss out.
Recent Game Modes in Gods Unchained
While this is the first-ever Battle Pass for Gods Unchained, the game has experimented with new content before. Formats Season 2, launched in November 2024, brought new rotational game modes with unique restrictions. Some of the game modes introduced were Pauper Mode, where only common cards were allowed, and Underdog Mode, which bans the top 500 most-used cards. Flashback Genesis, Singleton Mode, and Flashback Divine Order were also introduced.
While Formats kept gameplay fresh, the Battle Pass offers long-term progression and structured rewards, giving players a more consistent way to earn valuable in-game items.
With Battle Pass Season 1, Gods Unchained is stepping into a new era. Whether you're a free to play player looking for basic rewards or a hardcore collector wanting exclusive cosmetics and rare cards, there's something for everyone.
