Game Overview

Riftstorm is an action RPG roguelite title where players take on waves of enemies in procedurally generated dungeons with boss fights at the end of every level. The game promotes cooperative gameplay, putting players in teams of three where each player is extremely valuable to their team and their overall playstyle. Riftstorm engages players for a long time along a varied axis of intrinsic, and extrinsic motivations, randomly generated challenges, power-ups, and maps, helping players to grow their assets with advancements in the game.

By advancements we mean evolving NFTs, a unique and innovative approach the game takes to make sure each player's NFT grows with their playing time and experience. The more time you put into the game, the more enemies you take down, the better your agent becomes. This all ties perfectly into the rich lore Riftstorm built to pull players into the game's storyline and not just have all of your adventures become a meaningless repetition of dungeons with no end goal in sight.

Getting Started

Character Selection

Choose from a range of secret operatives - called Weavers - level them up and loot the best weapons to perfect your build. Once in the field, no two missions will be the same as you pick-up Lythograms to further empower and shape your character builds in each mission.

The loadout table will give you access to all available characters and any unique variants of these characters that you have access to. Players can choose from 6 unique heroes, each equipped with abilities and stats tailored for both solo missions and cooperative play.

To view detailed stats and abilities for each hero, click the left mouse button (or the corresponding button on your controller).

Loadout Customization

It's time to equip your Weaver with the right gear. Select your primary and secondary weapons from a diverse selection available in your arsenal. As you equip each weapon, observe icons in the bottom-left corner indicating other Weavers using the same weapon. This enhances coordination during co-op missions and maximizes team firepower.

Mission Selection

Prepare for battle by heading to the middle table in HQ and selecting a mission from the available list. Choose a mission aligned with your Combat Power (CP). For a greater challenge, opt for missions with a higher CP requirement (indicated by the red CP recommendation).

After selecting the mission, follow the arrow to the gate and await the countdown. Players will then be deployed to complete the mission.

Cooperative Play

Invite up to two friends and tackle missions around the globe in thrilling co-op gameplay. Each Weaver presents unique gameplay mechanics and weaponry, combine their skills and powers to overcome new challenges.

Creating a Party

To initiate a party, navigate to Create Lobby. Select the mission difficulty and adjust lobby visibility settings (public or private). Invite friends using an invite code or through Steam's invite system to join your team.

Joining Public Lobbies

For those seeking new allies, join a public lobby. Opt for this choice to be paired with other players, united in tackling challenging missions together.

The Forge Center

The Forge Center is a crucial hub within RIFTSTORM, providing two key functionalities:

Crafting Weapons

At the Forge Center, players can craft new weapons through two approaches:

• Random Weapon Crafting: Players can select to craft a random weapon, using available materials and credits.
• Specific Weapon Crafting: Alternatively, specific weapons can be crafted by utilizing weapon blueprints, which are obtained by completing missions.

When crafting, players also have the ability to customize the CP potential (Combat Power) and set a minimum rarity for the crafted weapon. However, crafting weapons with higher CP potential and rarity requires more materials and credits.

Salvaging Weapons

Players can salvage unwanted or redundant weapons they've acquired through missions. By salvaging weapons, valuable resources are collected, which can then be used for future crafting or other in-game advancements.

Leaderboards

Embrace the challenge with our dedicated Leaderboard, designed to elevate the gameplay experience. Track ranking and compete with fellow players through two accessible platforms:

In-Game Leaderboard

Easily access the leaderboard within the game interface by selecting the Leaderboard button, prominently positioned above the Discord button.

Website Leaderboard

Visit the Riftstorm website, then click the Leaderboard button in the navigation bar to see insights into standing compared to other players.

Controls

Access control settings through the ESC menu or the Menu button on your gamepad. The game supports multiple keyboard layouts:

• QWERTY
• AZERTY
• QWERTZ

Gamepad support is also available with two different layouts, with the main difference in the DODGE action button and Third Active Skill button.
