The universe of Lummelunda Archipelago has been blessed with Alice to serve as its guardian, the latest in a long line of skilled farmers. Unlike our real world, animals in My Neighbor Alice can speak and share space alongside humans on the island, and players are incentivized to work together in harmony for the prosperity of Lummelunda Archipelago.

The continent is too large for Alice to take care of everything herself, which is where players step in to help. Each player gets to own a piece of land, where Alice is your neighbor, hence the name of the game.

My Neighbor Alice brings a peaceful and casual experience to the web3 gaming world that can onboard millions of the younger generation who grew up playing Animal Crossing and other family friendly games. It is a breath of fresh air in the web3 gaming industry considering the number of shooters and action games.

The team over at Antler Interactive recently released a companion app to facilitate player's interaction with My Neighbor Alice's world on the go. Alice's Wardrobe enables players to dress up their in-game avatar with various clothes, and considering the game's recent partnership with the fashion brand ELLE, we are bound to see a lot more recognizable clothing brands jumping onboard.

Islands

Lummelunda archipelago consists of six key islands, each with its own unique climate, quests, lovable NPCs, crops, and more. Antler Interactive made sure each one gives players the sensation of travelling into a completely different world and big enough to keep them there for a while before going back home.

1. Snowflake Island: Located on the northwestern edge of the Lummelunda archipelago, Snowflake island is a frosty wonderland filled with ice sculptures of mysterious origin. Fairy magic is found all around the place.
2. Medieval Plains: The Medieval Plains are anchored in an ancient time, with a landscape full of low vegetation and stonework. A great spot for your cows to graze. Did you know that Berta used to graze here?
3. Nature's Rest: Nature's Rest is a dense forest with lush vegetation. Glowing lights fall from the trees and create a moody atmosphere. Nature's rest also happens to be Bear's (you know, the friendly bear with the yellow hat) birthplace.
4. Lummestad (The Town): The small but bustling town of the Lummelunda archipelago is full of shops and is the center point of many of the events in the game. The Town is located in the middle of the archipelago. This is the place where players will get to meet and interact with each other, buy and sell items and have fun together.
5. Sandy Coast: Made famous by local celebrities like Dr. Hilton, Sandy Coast resembles the Maldives. As the name suggests, the Sandy Coast is mostly composed of sand and includes multiple islands. This is the obvious destination for any beach dweller. Fancy a life on the beach, then this is the place for you!
6. Submerged Islands: The rich waters of the Submerged Islands are stalked by seafaring pirates, seeking the treasures and mysteries beneath the waves — or hunting those brave enough to try and get there first! Think shipwrecks, chests and driftwood. Something for the more adventurous minded perhaps? Ahoy there neighbor!

Playing Instruction

1. Introducing My Neighbor Alice

Welcome to the Alice world - a large island complex located in the Lummelunda archipelago. It is a place where animals and humans share space, make friends and work together. Anyone can join the neighborhood by buying a piece of land and performing various activities such as fishing, bug catching and beekeeping, among other things. Alice shares the archipelago with her friends - Björn the Bear, Beekeeper Bob, Ivan the Merchant and Shipwright José. By interacting with neighbors and helping Alice with her duties and daily activities, players earn a reward which can be exchanged for in-game items that they can use on their lands.

After buying a piece of land, players will be able to design and decorate their property to make it as unique and special as they want. For that, users can experiment with the landscape, use in-game assets, like NFT:s, which are available in the form of vegetation, furniture, buildings or animals, perform daily activities and participate in competitions and quests to earn more rewards.

My Neighbor Alice is the first attempt to create a truly public application with an exciting plot that would attract first ordinary players, secondly blockchain enthusiasts and DeFi nerds. It has a light and intuitive interface with a variety of features to explore. In My Neighbor Alice , only you will decide on how much you want to be involved in the game's decentralised features and DeFi. Moreover, we designed the game in a way to make it “live forever” with a narrative that never becomes boring.

2. How much does the game cost?

My Neighbor Alice is a free-to-play game. However, you will be offered to purchase various in-game items to customize your avatars and virtual plots.

3. NFT

Avatars: Each player is represented by an avatar in the game, and players can interact with others through the avatar. Players can also modify the avatar by installing different assets to it.

Virtual Islands: In the game, players can either purchase virtual plots from Alice or in the marketplace. There is a scarce supply of plots in the universe, and each piece of land is represented in the form of NFT tokens. The Lummelunda Archipelago Land is a major resource in My Neighbor Alice as much of the gameplay revolves around it. It’ll be a canvas for you to customize and express yourself!

There will be approximately 100.000 pieces of land available in the game spread across six islands; Snowflake Island, Medieval Plains, Lummestad (The Town), Nature’s Rest, Sandy Coast, and Submerged Islands.

4. NFT Marketplace

One of the game’s main features is a virtual marketplace where players can buy and sell their land and other in-game items, such as houses, fences, animals and plants, which will help them to decorate their land in their own creative way. Game items could both be traded through the in-game marketplace and also the NFT marketplaces on other blockchains. It creates liquidity for the assets created through the game and also encourages more players to participate in building the Alice world.

• Collateral-filled NFTs
  NFTs are collateralized for a percentage of their value. In case liquidity is needed, burning the NFT will free the underlying asset. This feature adds more liquidity and security for NFT holders.
• NFT Rentals
  Rent out assets (e.g., a tractor for harvesting, a more durable fishing rod, a key for a specific quest, or a spot on someone’s plot to access certain materials). Rent plots for yield (e.g., create a community of players, combine strengths—someone is a farmer, someone is a fisherman, decorate the islands together with other players).

5. What are the key game features in My Neighbor Alice?

• Players can trade their land and other in-game items, such as houses, fences, animals, and plants in the virtual in-game marketplace.

• Avatars are used to represent players in the game. Players can customize and personalize their avatars with cosmetic items and modify them by installing different assets.
• Players can collect and trade various in-game items, such as houses, fences, plants, and animals, in the in-game marketplace.
• My Neighbor Alice will have a reputation system that rewards players for being good landowners, offering increasing benefits (up to participating in the Community Council).
• The game will enable various possibilities for players to work towards shared goals and pool resources to complete fun activities. For example, the game will allow community-created events where players can participate in activities and competitions.
• My Neighbor Alice will also feature a decentralized forum, where users can discuss game activities, view the upcoming voting schedule within the Decentralized Organization (DAO), search for new friends, and more.

6. Progression System

My Neighbor Alice will have a dynamic progression system that rewards players for being good citizens. Players will progress through the game by completing fun quests, favors, and other activities.

$ALICE is the in-game currency. It can be used to purchase virtual assets such as land, treasures, and NFTs in the game. It can also serve as a governance token to participate in game governance or staking.

$ALICE is My Neighbor Alice’s native utility token and is used in the following functions:

• In-game Currency:
  Use $ALICE to purchase assets and special skill sets in the game and in Alice's marketplace.
• Governance:
  Participate in the governance process through a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) and vote on improvement proposals and platform developments (e.g., platform operations and development). Voter incentives will be introduced to encourage participation in the governance process.
• Staking:
  Stake $ALICE tokens to earn a percentage of platform revenues (e.g., plot sales, asset sales, and transaction fees).
