Alien Worlds is a decentralised metaverse (i.e. extensible platform) running on the Ethereum,WAX and Binance Smart Chain blockchains. The metaversal currency - Trilium (token symbolTLM) - incentivises explorers to play games and must be staked by users to participate ingovernance. Planets within the metaverse are decentralised autonomous organisations whichreceive daily Trilium from the central metaverse smart contracts. Explorers engage throughmining, acquiring and renting land, voting for Planetary governance to impact Trilium and NFT(Non-Fungible Token) payouts, and other strategic actions which are likely to proliferate overtime as Planets offer their own games and NFTs.
Playing Instruction
In the Alien Worlds metaverse, players can acquire NFTs (digital game items) to mine TLM, engage in battles, and complete in-game quests. Depending on their strategy, players may purchase and assemble NFTs that best suit their gameplay. Current functionality within the Alien Worlds metaverse include:
● Mining: Using suitable NFTs, players can mine TLM from different planets.
●Staking: Players stake TLM to earn staking rewards in TLM and NFTs and stake Trilium to Planets to increase the Planet’s reward pool.
●Planet DAO governance: Participate in weekly elections for council candidates.
●Trade NFTs: Players may trade NFTs on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and WAX, to be used for mining and in-game missions.
●Cross-chain bridge: Porting TLM between BSC, WAX, and Ethereum.
●How to Mine on Alien Worlds?
1. To start playing, get a WAX Cloud Wallet and go to play.alienworlds.io to sign in.
2. To mine on Alien Worlds you just need to:
●Pick a Planet
●Choose some Land
●Select your Tools (and wait for them to charge if necessary)
●Hit the mine button
3. First you have to pick a planet to mine on. Some planets may have bigger reward pools than others and some may be incentivising users more so choose carefully.
4. Then you have to choose your land. If you are a wealthy explorer you may have got some of your own land to mine on or you may want to mine on a friends land. If you mine on someone else's land then you have to share the yield with them.
●For example, here’s a projection map of Planet Eyeke split into it’s different plots.
●There are 20 different terrain types, which affect the amount of the pot you can get and how much chance you have to get an NFT, if you just want to mine quickly and often you probably want to stick to the plains and quick charge time tools. If you want to set up your operation and only come two or three times a day then an active volcano and some explosives may be a good choice.
5. Select your tools, when everything is ready you can mine and get your share of the planets Trilium pool. If you are really lucky you may also get an Alien Worlds NFT.
●Alien Worlds NFT
In Alien Worlds, there are six different types of genesis NFTs. Land、Tools、Minions、Weapons、Avatars、and Artifacts。
1. Land
Land is a series of NFTS in Alien Worlds, representing the Land on the planet in Alien Worlds. Deep in the land, there is precious TLM. Players buy or lease land to start mining, and each plot has unique characteristics that affect the TLM mining process. If you own the land, you can either mine it yourself or charge a commission to the people who mine your land.
Land is at the heart of player mining, and each land has three key attributes:
●Chance to get NFT;
●The amount of TLM that can be obtained by mining;
●Increase in charging time.
There are also differences in the rarity of the land, the rarer the land, the more likely the resource data will be higher, however the downside is that they also have a longer recharge time to reset, which means you have to wait longer to mine again. Rarity is in the following order:
●Normal (grey)
●Rare (blue)
●Epic (purple)
●Legendary (yellow)
2. Tools
Everyone is given a free shovel to begin with but it’s mining power is very limited. You might find other tools in your adventures around the Metaverse or, if you are very lucky you may find one while mining. Different tools have different strengths and weaknesses. For example, a Glavor Disc is good for finding NFTs and a Lucky Drill will mine much more efficiently than a Standard Drill. Note: you can use 3 tools at the same time.
With the help of tools, players can mine the mineral Trilium. Tools affect the speed and efficiency of TLM mining.Four key attributes of tools used for mining:
●Mine Power;
●Opportunity to acquire NFT;
●Charge reset time;
●POW.
Players need tools with high mining power, high NFT chance and low cooldown. POW stands for Proof of Work and it makes mining easier for your machine. Similar to land, all tools have a rarity:
●Abundant (light grey)
●Normal (grey)
●Rare (blue)
●Epic (purple)
●Legendary (yellow)
●Myth (red)
3. Minion
Minions are essentially an explorers crew that they will use in battles, and possibly in future explorations. They have 5 main attributes beyond the standard Alien Worlds NFT attributes …
●Attack — The attack rating details how much damage a minion can do when attacking
●Defence — The defence rating is a combination of minion health and how well a minion can defend against attacks
●MoveCost — How much energy is required for movement. Faster minions have lower movement costs
●Race — Which Alien Race* the minion is most identified with
●Element — Minions can be neutral or can tap into a Metaversal energy source** … Air, Gem, Metal, Fire or Nature.
Minions can usually be equipped with weapon NFTs as well and can gain extra power from choosing weapons which work in synergy with their race or element.
4. Weapons
Weapon NFTs have both an attack rating and a defensive rating. They may be used by developers and communities throughout the Metaverse and will be used by Explorers in the Fighting Game when battling other Explorers.
5. Avatars
Avatars are NFT gamecards and are your face into the Metaverse that can be utilized to play the game. You select your first avatar to use for mining. Avatars offered by the Federation include: Greys, Reptiloids, Little Green Persons, Nordics and Robotrons.
6. Missions
Missions NFTs are earned by going on Missions in the metaverse. Missions NFTs have 3 variables: Crafting key (a value from A -> G in the alphabet); Boost power; Base power.
These numbers can be read by smart contracts and you can participate in a game using Missions NFTs if you find one in the metaverse, or build your own!
7. Rarity and Shininess
There are six different levels of rarity for Digital Items (NFTs*) in Alien Worlds. These are : Abundant; Common; Rare; Epic; Legendary and Mythical.
There are also 5 different levels of shininess – Stone, Gold, Stardust, Antimatter and XDimension.
8. Forged
Out of the box all NFTs released by the Federation are the lowest level of shininess, which is stone. The only way to get a greater gloss NFT is to combine or forge four identical NFT cards together to create a single NFT with a higher gloss.Except for XDimension NFT game cards, which can only be found by opening rare packs.
The process of shining turns them from stone to gold, then stardust, then antimatter. Stone → Gold → Stardust → Antimatter
●How much Trilium is required to shine up my NFTs to the next level?
You need to provide Trilium along with your four NFTs. The amount of Trilium depends on the shininess and rarity of the NFTs you’re shining up.

●Thunderdome battles
where explorers get to put their Minions into fights against other Minions. In Alien Worlds, there are potentially a myriad of ways that the minions and weapons will be used.
●This first battle game will be in a Battle Royale / Hunger Games format where many Minions enter and only one minion emerges as the final victor.
●The overall winner will get the largest rewards (A percentage of the Trilium from the Thunderdome fund and an NFT drop). However, some of the minions eliminated in the final stages will also receive rewards along with the planets they are affiliated with.
●Each entry will cost Trilium (Amount TBC) — This will be split between the Thunderdome fund and the Treasury (which may decide to burn the TLM).
●Each Minion can be equipped with one Weapon
●Each Explorer can enter as many full health, equipped Minions as they would like to
●Each Minion also fights on behalf of a planet — they will fight other planets Minions before their own and they get a share of “Planetary Power” per battle
●Each entry can optionally throw an artifact into the Thunderdome that will affect the contest
●Each entry is sent in with initial orders (Evade, Attack Strongest, Attack Weakest and Defensive Mode). These dictate how the minion will fight.
●Each hour the Thunderdome phase changes to favour minions and weapons of a particular element type
●The battle schedule will be calibrated to allow for a maximum of 720 battles per day and/or a minimum of 8 minions per battle
●The battles will use seed random numbers and then will run according to transparent published logic in a deterministic way. Through this method external parties will be able to verify that the battles take place fairly.
●How to Enter?
1. Choose a Minion
2. Equip it with a weapon
3. Choose the planet affiliation
4. Throw in an Artifact (optional)
5. Give orders (Optional)
6. And finally pay your TLM fee.
The battle will begin when the calibrated number of minions is reached. e.g. if the battle requires 20 minions then when the 20th minion is entered the battle will be kicked off. The next minion entered goes into the next battle pool.
●After the Battle
The top minions (the number will vary according to the number of minions in the battle) will get their rewards and NFT drops (declining in quantity and quality depending on position). The planets which the top minions are affiliated with will also receive their shares.
All losing minions lose their health and their weapons will be damaged. To repair them, the Federation will offer a hospital, where minions can be healed, and a weapon repair shop. More powerful minions and weapons will require more resources to heal/fix. A percentage of funds from healing will go to the Thunderdome fund, a further percentage will be paid to the Treasury. In addition to these services, specific artifacts (the Minion Elixir and Weapon Nano-repairer) will be available as NFTs which can be mined.
In-Game Economy
In the Alien Worlds metaverse, players can acquire NFTs (digital game items) to mine TLM, engage in battles, and complete in-game quests. Depending on their strategy, players may purchase and assemble NFTs that best suit their gameplay. Additionally, players may engage in governance by electing the Councillors of six Planet DAOs, and thereby influence the direction of the game.
Trilium (TLM) is the native utility token of the Alien Worlds metaverse and has the following use cases:
●Planet Governance: TLM holders may stake TLM to participate in the governance of planets and other potential rewards.
●Staking: Players may stake TLM on a selected planet to participate in TLM and NFT mining.
●In-Game Currency: TLM tokens are the currency in Alien Worlds, where players require TLM to purchase and upgrade items, participate in quests and battles, and other in-game related activities.
●Gameplay Incentives: Active users may earn TLM as participation rewards to develop the in-game ecosystem and activity.
●Purchase NFTs: Players may purchase in-game items which are minted as NFTs, to mine TLM, engage in battles, and complete in-game quests.

Mining and Staking
Players may use their Tool NFTs to mine TLM, and rent or own their Land. Successful mining attempts may reward plays with TLM, and sometimes additional NFTs. Depending on the Land or Tool NFT, players may be able to mine more TLM and NFTs, while others have shorter intervals between each mining cycle. Users may use the combination of Tools and Land that best suits their strategy and gameplay.
Planet DAO voting
Players may stake TLM to Planet DAOs, which indicates their support for a planet to receive more daily TLM emissions. Through staking, players also gain voting rights on the Planet DAO based on the proportion of TLM staked. Players may run to be a candidate for Councillor of one or more Planets. Following the elections at Planet DAO, the DAOs will be opened to governance by the elected Councillors, who will then share multi-sig control over the Planet DAO accounts.
