Blockchain gaming studio and tech company Proof of Play has announced the launch Pirate's Saga for their fully on-chain RPG, Pirate Nation.
What Is Pirate's Saga in Pirate Nation?
Pirate's Saga is a new game mode in Pirate Nation that lets players earn various on-chain rewards by completing new combat challenges on the Saga map.
There are 20 combat challenges on the map for players to try and complete through this new game mode. You can't choose which one you'd like to do first, but have to play them in order instead, slaying monsters of the sea to progress through to the next level. As you destroy all the enemies in each map, you will not only unlock the next level and continue progressing through the map, but you will also gain some nice loot as well.
Everyone starts off with 3 lives, and you're deducted one whenever you lose a challenge or flee from battle. If you have no lives, you can't continue playing this mode. So, to continue playing, you'll just have to wait 8 hours to get 3 new lives, making this mode completely free to play if you don't mind waiting.
The first round for this game mode kicked off at the end of January 2025, and the goal of this initial round is to teach new players how to play this web3 game. If you're an experienced player, these 20 challenges should be a breeze. If you're new, then this is a great time to jump in and play the Arbitrum-powered title. In the future, you can look forward to new map sections getting added with new themes to enjoy, giving players of all skill levels more fun plundering to enjoy. Next to tougher Saga adventures will also be better NFT rewards, with the studio planning to use the game mode as a "vessel for more story telling in the future".
How to Play Pirate's Saga in Pirate Nation – Free Mint a Pirate Now Without Needing a Referral Code!
In order to play the new game mode, you will need to mint a free Pirate in Pirate Nation.
