After Realms of Alurya went live on Treasure mainnet, the web3 action RPG has now also officially launched on the Epic Games Store in early access, with the developers revealing a new roadmap that showcases plenty of exciting features in the works.

What Benefits Does the Epic Games Store Launch Bring to Realms of Alurya?

The listing and launch on the Fortnite creator's store will continue to help Realms of Alurya (previously known as Synergy Land) grow its playerbase, as a larger number of gamers will now have an easier time finding this web3 title and trying it out for free. By making it easier for non-crypto gamers to jump in, the game could potentially gain a significantly larger playerbase, in turn leading to a bigger and better community.

As is the case with all blockchain games that release on this PC storefront, this one too comes with a warning tag to make users aware that this is a crypto game. The FAQ section expands on how web3 features are integrated, revealing that you can play for free by simply signing up with your email account, while a crypto wallet automatically created for you. The page further explains that blockchain technology is used to provide true ownership of in-game assets such as pets and collectibles in the form of NFTs. Players do not need to interact with blockchain features or use crypto enjoy this top-down dungeon crawler.

So, if you haven't played the game already by downloading the launcher from the official website, you now also have the option to get the web3 title through Epic's store on PC using the link in the official announcement or by simply searching for it through the store launcher. It's only available for download on Windows at the time of writing, with the team teasing in the FAQ that they plan on expanding to other platforms in the future. What's Included in the New Realms of Alurya Roadmap?

The new roadmap for Realms of Alurya is a big upgrade over its previous iteration as it is now said to give the community "full transparency" over what developer Synergy Games is working on.

Specifically, the roadmap now provides us with a clear overview that lets use easily see what the team is working on, what they plan on developing next, and what features they have in the backlog for the future. Not only is the roadmap cleanly presented in a nice Kanban board, but it even has a voting system that allows the community to upvote the features they like the most. This potentially means that the gaming community can influence what the team focuses on next. Alongside the upvoting system, players can also submit their own ideas for new features in the Ideas section, as well as provide feedback to the studio using the Feedback tab.

So, what does the roadmap reveal? Well, at the time of writing, there are 10 features currently in development, with 7 up next, and 9 milestones stored in the backlog.

When it comes to features currently in-progress, 6 of them are planned to launch in Q1 2025, while 4 are scheduled for Q2. For the first quarter, the team wants to release the Breeding Station, the Alune Forge, and new crypt-themed dungeons, while launching a strategic marketing campaign, a Hunt & Mint event, and a bridge for $SNG to Treasure, turning the token into an official ecosystem token for both this title and future games the studio makes. In Q2, you can look forward to the release of a deep character progression system, the launch of NFT characters with exclusive gameplay and ecosystem perks, and more.
