Runner League, developed by the team behind Cryptofoxes NFTs, is a 2D platformer that combines speedrunning, competitive challenges, and immersive events. Set on the Base network, the game allows players to race through dynamic environments filled with traps, puzzles, and unique gameplay elements.

Gameplay and Features

Onchain Avatar IdentityThe game introduces Cryptofoxes, pixelated NFT avatars launched in March 2021 by Miinded, as the premier avatars of Runner League. These avatars serve as more than just playable characters; they represent onchain identity. Players can customize their in-game username, avatar type, and assets, creating a personal and unique gaming experience.

Game Modes

• Campaigns and Challenges: The Campaign mode offers a single-player story experience, delving into the rich lore of the Cryptofoxes universe. Through the perspectives of Leo and Rosie, players uncover the history of Cryptofoxes via pixel art storytelling. As they progress through the Campaign chapters, players unlock Challenges—competitive, leaderboard-driven gameplay modes designed for speedrunning enthusiasts. These Challenges reward players with badges that can be minted as part of their onchain profile, showcasing their accomplishments.

• Events: Events bring web3 communities together for competitive gameplay. Here, players test their skills against others for a chance to earn rewards and recognition. These events emphasize the social and competitive aspects of Runner League, allowing participants to display their gaming abilities while fostering camaraderie among NFT enthusiasts.

• Maps: The game's maps include the Cryptofoxes Hub and hubs representing partnered web3 communities. These areas are beautifully rendered in pixel art, reflecting the unique cultures and aesthetics of various NFT projects and meme tokens. They serve as vibrant spaces for exploration and competition.

• Slot Machine: Adding a layer of excitement, the slot machine feature allows players to reroll their assets using tickets, offering an opportunity to acquire new and unique items. This mechanic enhances the fun factor and provides a dynamic way to engage with in-game resources.
